It’s a summers weekend, Molly’s early morning visit to Tramore beach

Canon G1x
A visit to Tramore strand
We don’t know what’s hit us here in Ireland, Sun all day for a week and temperatures in the high 60’s or even 70’s.
Just like Irish people do we had to go mad with it and got up very early this morning to head down to Tramore strand, co Waterford. The three of us had a wonderful June morning but molly loved it just that bit more let’s hope it lasts!

Molly is even more beautiful running in the sun, wild and free, sweet girl. Excellent images, Nigel.

Great photos. I have friends who live in a house on the cliffs on the left end of the second photo! She grew up on a farm just outside Tramore and always wanted to live in a cottage on the cliffs that had once been housing for the coast guard. Fast forward 40 years and she and husband bought the cottages, but alas, they could not be saved and they put up a lovely new home. The last time I was there, the moon was full and the view across the bay was spectacular!

Hello Martha…..
That’s a lovely story for them, a shame not to be able to keep the old place but it costs so much more to restore than build from the ground up.
Its a lovely part of the Waterford coast, I have often walked out of the town and up the hill just to get the views along the strand. I did a flight out of Kilkenny airport some time back and we flow all the way along the coast before turning back inland.
I will post the images of Tramore during the week then…..
Thanks for your comment Martha π

Yes, it’s a lovely part of Ireland and I think overlooked by a lot of people when visiting. I drove the coast last year from Tramore to Kinsale, spending some time along the way in Ballycotton and Shannagary. Just lovely!
