Today I just want to share some images take at the banks of one of my favorite irish rivers the Awbeg River (Irish: An Abhainn Bheag, meaning “the small river”). This river is a river in the southern part of Ireland. It is a tributary of the Blackwater River and flows into that larger river at a point in County Cork. Its name comes from the Irish Abha Bheag (“small river”, a slightly older form than the modern Irish name).

As its a Friday Afternoon, I wish everyone a great weekend ahead. I hope you get sometime off and have a chance to spend time in a place just like this one πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Nigel, I like the saturation in these images. Rich but not over cooked! Are these straight out of the camera and if so, do you have the level of saturation pre-set , or have you adjusted afterwards? You’ve probably noticed that I tend to desaturated most of my images. Just interested in how others approach their image making…..especially those who produce very nice pictures!
    Regards
    John

  5. This looks so beautiful and refreshing. The water falls are captured so well, the skies so blue and grass so green, just makes me wish there weren’t more snow coming down here… thanks for transporting me away for a bit, Nigel.
