Sunday evening at Galway bay
One Sunday evening last year while visiting Galway bay, we went for a walk along the shoreline.
We came across this fishing boat resting in a small bay, I felt this image pictures Sunday evening very well.
Rested during the weekend, but ready to start again on Monday morning, just not yet !

awesome captures… Sunday evening are one of my favorite times! Hope you’re enjoying the beautiful autumn 60’s

I love seeing pictures of Galway because that’s where my dad’s family and the Acton surname comes from, sadly we don’t know anymore other than they came to England around the time of the potato famine and only listed County Galway as place of birth on census records nothing more specific and after the arrived they seem to have scattered around mining areas , one day I will have a trip over there in search of more π

Hello Paula π
That’s really interesting, I wonder if their are more records held locally. I remember an RTE program last year and Ireland is setting up a more details database.
I will do some goggling for you and see what I can find that may help some more.
