An Irish Sunset
Landscape photography By: Nigel Borrington

The last few days here in Ireland have been just wonderful, the weather has been like old times, long summer days in the sun and the country.

So time for a Poem :

by Lakota

As I lay in the grass,
The blades brushing against my neck,
I stare at the sky; washed with
orange; splashed with pink.

As the sun dips slowly lower,
fading from my near-distant sight.
Giving the gift of colour to the sky,
and I blink once, and it’s gone.

As I think of nature, love, and time,
I hear music, softly piercing my ears.
The pipes, and pan-flute, the beat of the bohdran and fiddle,
I let out a sigh of contentment, and close my eyes.

It’s here, that I’m home.

Lovely sunset. Looks like beautiful weather on your side of the world, but then we’ve had a few glorious blue-skyed winter days too.

    • Hello Victoria , that’s great to know to be honest those are the days I really love. It is wonderful at the moment but 30oc well we are not use to that here – the most surprising thing is its dry heat at least, more like the heat you get or in Spain, most of the time if it get’s this hot here, it get a bit heavy too.

Could we be getting our first good summer for years ?

        Hope so, Nigel.
The seasons seem to be mixed up all over the world.
