Depth, in the flower bed

These two images are another example of using lens depth of field to good effect using a wonderful flower bed on our local river bank. The first image is using F8 and the Second image is using F1.8 as a lens aperture setting.

  1. Both are nice, but I must say that I like the f/8 photo better. In that photo, you can just make out the blurred objects as flowers. Also the tilt you applied. It makes the photo more interesting.

  2. Hello Mark, Yes I can see why. I think maybe most people would go for the first image. I find that these day I end-up taking at least one image at each f-stop then on the bigger screen at home having a better look at each one ….
