The secret Cove , Image and poem

Secret Cove

I took my breath from a sea breeze
on its way to somewhere else.

I could sense where it had been
where summer is almost over
Beyond the cliff above the sea

A secret cove where spirits swim
a place no one ever sees

Timeless souls, their presence is felt
their breath upon the breeze.

  1. I love the flow and rhythm of this poem. It has a natural rhyming quality that is free flowing and elegant. It’s truly lovely, as is the photo. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Wow Nigel – this is one of those times when I wish there was an ‘OMG – Amazing!!!’ button – as ‘Like’ seems so hopelessly inadequate! The image is stunning, but your incredibly beautiful, extraordinarily evocative words gave me chills. What a fabulous post – you really should do more of these images/words combinations. So mate, the talent seems to just be oozing out of your every pore – there’s photography, music, painting, poetry, prose… Where will it end???! : ))))

    • Hello Anne πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Thank you this is a truly lovely and welcome comment – Thank you so much πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Well, That’s a big question that you ask πŸ™‚

You know I am very happy that I found a way to express some creative sides of myself here in the WordPress world , everyone including yourself has been just great and its been such fun sharing and get to see what others see and think of their own lives and the world around them πŸ™‚

I am not sure what the ending will be and also not sure if that’s as big a point as it may appear.

I feel convinced that keeping going, an outwards form of expression is very important.

As you know these last years in Ireland have not been great if you are looked for conclusions to many areas most of all artistic expression.

I know what your asking Anne πŸ™‚ , but to myself keeping this space as my expressive area has been of great fun and a really enjoyable thing to do.

      Thanks !!!
